This time for Africa

Six days til departure time.

I've been in Antigonish, Nova Scotia at my alma mater university (complete with residence and meal hall) for two weeks of orientation for this Youth In Partnership program at the Coady International Institute. It feels like I'm back in my glory-undergrad days again, and as a matter of fact it was four years ago to the day that I was in Antigonish starting my first training camp with the X-Women soccer team. Now that is what I call full circle; however now, there is much less running/wanting to throw up due to nerves and a lot more being confused by international development lingo/drinking excessively.

I am publishing this blog for a few reasons:
i) So my parents know I'm still kickin' when I don't call them for long periods of time
ii) I forgot to ask a lot of people for their email addresses
iii) Some people asked me to keep them posted
iv) For people who have a genuine interest about life in Rwanda
and probably the most important one is:
v) For anyone who is bored enough to check out what I'm doing with my life

So here's to six months of learning, living, eating and exploring on the fourth continent I've been to in the span of a year, much to the chagrin of my parents. And my bank accounts.

(Lindsay Wik, the title of this blog post is for you. You know you love it.)
